The Sala Construction
On December 5, 2011, the Lao Buddhist Temple of Denver faced a devastating loss when a fire engulfed and completely destroyed the Sala, the heart of our community.
In the aftermath of this tragedy, the Lao Buddhist community, joined by dedicated volunteers from across Colorado, came together with unwavering determination. United by a common goal, they rolled up their sleeves, contributed their skills, and worked tirelessly to design and rebuild the new Sala.
Today, in 2025, we are proud to announce that the construction of the new Sala is nearing completion. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the overwhelming support, generosity, and contributions from individuals and families both near and far.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has played a part in this journey. Your donations, efforts, and encouragement have helped us not only rebuild a structure but also strengthen the bonds within our community.
